Mrs. Margaret Marie MILES, 60, of Waveland died Saturday morning at her winter home in Sarasota, FL. She had been seriously ill for 2 weeks. Born April 4, 1901 at Trader's Point, she was a daughter of James and Martha Trout WELCH. She married Harry V. Miles Jan 20, 1916 in Crawfordsville. Mrs. Miles was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church and a charter member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary. She lived most of her life in the Waveland community. Survivors include her husband, two sons, Willard of Sarasota and John of Zionsville; 3 daughters, Mrs. Katheryn Echelbarger of Zionsville; Mrs. Elizabeth Bottomley of Rockfield, IL; and Mrs. Rosemary Hester of New Market; two brothers, Roy and Arthur Trout, both of Zionsville; a sister, Mrs. Goldie Stultz of Zionsville; 11 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 Tuesday at Machledt & Servies Funeral Home, Waveland with Rev. Fred Dean, pastor of the Methodist Church in charge.
