Miss Lillie D. MILES died at 8:35 pm. Monday at her home in New Market. She had been in failing health since Aug 27 suffering from a heart ailment. She was born in Shelby Co KY a daughter of William H. and Mary L. Miles. She attended grade school in Browns Valley, normal school in Crawfordsville and business school in Indianapolis. Miss Miles taught school in Browns Valley then operated a millinery business in Illinois. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church, Crawfordsville. Surviving are a brother, Albert A. Miles of Lowell; a sister, Miss N. Gertrude Miles of New Market; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary L. Miles, Lowell; a nephew, Lee Roy BUSER of New Market; two nieces, Hazel M. Milligan of Crawfordsville and Mary E. Steele, Detroit, MI; and two cousins, Myra t. Maddox and Evelyn H. Beard of Louisville, Ky. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Noble Reeves Funeral Home, New Market with burial in Indian Creek Hill Cemetery.
