Miles - Hugh

Aaron Miles and wife were called to Attica, Friday by the death of their grandson, Hugh, the son of Robert Miles. The day before the boy was playing at school at the afternoon recess. In pursuit of a ball he passed close to a grazing horse which kicked int he side of his head, fracturing the skull and driving splinters of bone into the brain itself. He lives until the next morning never regaining consciousness. He was 14 and well liked. His tragic death cast a gloom over the entire community. The funeral was deferred until Monday to enable two brothesr to reach home from Louisiana. In spite of the rainy day, there was a large crowd. -- kbz
