Miles - Homer

Homer Miles, 79, a retired farmer, died at 11:30 a.m. Sunday in his home on Rt. 7 west of New Market. Mr. Miles was a member of the Freedom Baptist Church. He was born in Montgomery County, April 20, 1890, a son of Grant and Rodha Davis Miles. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Chauncey (Dorothy) Jeffrey of Rt. 7; a brother, Howard of Crawfordsville; a sister, Miss Stella Miles of Crawfordsville; and two grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae Hester and a brother. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Reeves Funeral Home, New Market. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday. - kbz
