Crawfordsville – Joel L. Mikels, 71, of
Black Creek, died at his home Friday after a long illness. He was born near Darlington, April 18, 1858
and was a son of William and Susan Mikels. He was married to Etta F. Buchanon
in 1885. Living in this county all his life. A farmer and a member of the Mt.
Zion UB Church, he was well known. Surviving are the widow and three sons.
Funeral services were set for Sunday afternoon at the residence at 2:30
o’clock; interment her ein Oak Hill Cemetery. - kbz
