Elsie Middleton Succumbs At 68- Mrs. Elsie M. Middleton, 68, 1501 E. Wabash Ave., was found dead at her home Saturday morning. Born Oct. 3, 1889, south of Crawfordsville, she was a daughter of Benton and Anna Hughes Weaver. She married Howard J. Middleton April 10, 1909. He died in 1941. She attended Montgomery County schools and had lived in Crawfordsville since her marriage. Her husband was employed by Mid-States Steel and Wire Co. and she worked at the match factory. Surviving are two sons, Donald H. and Robert G. Middleton, both of Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Clifford Welliver of Crawfordsville and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Fred Middleton. He died in 1949. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bright Funeral Home with Rev. Bennett Fulp, pastor of EUB Church, officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Monday at the funeral home.- transcribed by kbz
