WAYNETOWN — Ola G. Michaels, 67, died of a cerebral hemorrhage at 6:35 p. m. Friday at Home Hospital in Lafayette. He had been ill for the past nine weeks and in the hospital a week. Born June 8, 1891 at Linden, he was the son of Dillard and Mary A. Lewis Michaels. He was married Oct. 4, 1919 to Grace Charters at Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Methodist Church at Linden, the Waynetown American Legion and the VFW at Crawfordsville. He served four years in the Navy prior to World War I and overseas with the 347th Machinegun Battalion during the war. For 15 years he was superintendent of the Fairfield Mfg. Co. at Lafayette. For the past 10 years he was proprietor of the Waynetown Grill. Surviving are the wife; a daughter, Mrs. Ralph Rose of Waynetown; a sister, Mrs. Laura Ingersoll of Crawfordsville; two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m. Monday at the Servies Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. Guy E. Tremaine officiating. Burial will be in the Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p. m. Saturday.
