Mrs. Grace Michaels, 81 of Waynetown died Thursday evening in Lafayette Health Care Center where she had been a patient 9 years. Mrs. Michaels and her husband owned and operated the Waynetown Grill. She attended Breaks school. A member of the Waynetown Community since 1949 she attended a Baptist Church. She was born April 2, 1899 in Montgomery County, a daughter of Henry and Catherine Groendike Charters. She married Ola Michaels Oct 5, 1919. He died in December 1958. Surviving are 7 nieces and nephews, including Mrs. Ralph (Martha)O Rose of Waynetown who was reared in the Michaels' home. Mrs. Michaels was preceded in death by one brother. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Jack Swank offficiating. Friends may call at Thomas Funeral Home after 3 p.m. Sunday. - kbz
