Raymond Michael, 62, water engineer at the city light plant, died Wednesday ___ at his home near Crawfordsville. Born Dec 5, 1894 at Linden, Mr. Michael was the son of Dillard and Mary Lewis Michael. He married Lida Waye Sept 6, 1913. He was a member of the Linden Methodist Church. Mr. Michael was a life resident of the Linden and Crawfordsville communities. Before taking a position at the light plant he was a maintenance foreman at Mid-States Steel & Wire Co seven years. Survivors include the widow; two sons, Donald Michael, Rt 4, Crawfordsville and Paul Michael, Rt 5, Crawfordsville; a daughter, Mrs. Sam Garver, Rt 4, Crawfordsville; a sister, Mrs. Warren Ingersoll of Crawfordsville; a brother, Ola Michael of Waynetown; 9 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Proffitt & Brown Funeral Home with burial at Masonic Cemetery, Rev. John R. Servies will be the officiating minister. Friends may call at the funeral home. – kbz

Funeral services for Raymond Michael, who died at his home on R 4, Wednesday were conducted Friday at 2 p.m. at the Proffit & Brown Funeral Home here with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery. Pallbearers were Guy Corwin, Virgil Ellis, Russell Heath, Everett Cooper, George Heartley and John Whorley. Organist Mrs. Nellie Shepherd played His Hands and In the Garden.
