New Market, June 13 - George Milligan, age 83, died Sat. morning at 5 o'clock of
pneumonia at Culver hospital. He had been ill 6 months. He was a
resident of the Freedom community near New Market for 67 years.
Mr. Milligan was b. in Tenn Aug 16, 1858 the son of Joseph and
Mary Milligan. he was a stock buyer. Surviving are four nephews:
Tude Canine, Browns Valley; Dr. Jo Canine of Washington DC;
Robert Canine of Waveland and OR Canine of Crawfordsville; two
nieces, Mrs. Nannie Munns of New Market; and Maude Martin of
Crawfordsville. Two brothers preceded Mr. Milligan in death. Fun.
services will be held Mon. at 2 p.m. at the Freedom Baptist
Church. The body will be taken to the Church one hour before the
services. Rev. John Caldwell and Rev. David Canine will
officiate. Burial will be made in the Freedom Cemetery The body
will lie in state at the Noble Reeves fun. home until time for
the funeral, where friends may call and pay their respects. - transcribed by kbz
