A.B. Milligan died at his home, two miles W. of here (Browns Valley) last Saturday night of congestion of the brain. Mr. Milligan was 52 years and 7 months old. He leaves a wife and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Cuppy, of Waveland at the house Monday. - transcribed by kbz

Mr. A.B. Milligan, for many years a resident of Brown township, died on Sunday last after a short illness. Mr. Milligan was a gentleman universally respected for his many good qualities as a citizen, neighbor and friend, and his kindly face will be greatly missed among those having the pleasure of is acquaintance. He has resided in Brown township for over twenty years, coming to this county from Kentucky. – thanks to Kim H
