Miller - Henry Alonzo

Henry Alonzo MILLER, son of Isaac N. and Nancy A. Miller, was
born in Ladoga, Indiana June 20, 1856, departed this life April
12, 1931 age 74 years 9 months 22 days. When only six weeks old,
he with his parents moved from Ladoga to the farm and it was on
this farm he spent the remainder of his life. He was united in
marriage on Sept 13, 1889 (sic- 1888) to Martha Lenora Kellar
(sic - Keller) who preceded him in death Jan 5, 1927. To this
union was born two children: Jennie Florence and Joe Austin, who
survive. He united with the Christian Church, Ladoga early in
life and remained a faithful member. He was also a member of IOOF [Independent Order of Odd Fellows]
at New Ross. He was a man of sterling character and a kind and
affectionate husband and father. Uncle Henry will be sadly
missed in this community by a host of friends and neighbors.
Besides the two children, he is survived by one grandson, Newell
Dossett, two granddaughters, Miriam and Dorothy Miller, two
brothers, John W. and Benjamin F of New Ross. He was preceded in
death by two brothers, Albert who died in infancy and George A.
