Word was received here today of the death of award-winning country-western songwriter Eddie Miller, 56, of Nashville, Tenn., who was the cousin of three Crawfordsville residents. Mr. Miller is reported to have written hundreds of songs. The most popular and perhaps the best known is, “Release Me.” He died of an apparent heart attack at 2 a.m. today at Nashville. His mother is the aunt of Mary Zachary, 707 Jennison St., Lorraine Halton, 806 Sloan St., and Maxine Demoret, 1015 W. Market St. – jlr
