Mrs. Genevieve L. Miles, 70, of 111 W. Chestnut St., a former employe of F. W. Woolworth Store here, died Monday in Culver Hospital after a short illness. Mrs. Miles was a member of Jackson Heights Methodist Church and Sugar creek campers & Hikers Association. She attended Wingate schools. She was born May 2, 1904, at Wingate, a daughter of William and Gertrude Beech Warrick. She married Raymond C. Miles on Oct. 15, 1928, in Illinois. Surviving with the husband are seven sons, Robert Cunningham, Homer Cunningham, Ted Miles and Jim Miles of California, and Don Miles, Marion Miles and Kenneth Miles of Crawfordsville; four daughters, Mrs. Marie Haniford, Mrs. Patsy Cotton and Mrs. Gertie Cunningham of Crawfordsville, and Mrs. Barbara Handley of Minnesota; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Morrison of Linnsburg and Mrs. Juanita Douglas of California, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A son and a daughter are deceased. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Burkhart Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Cato of East Side Baptist Church will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thursday. – jlr
