WAVELAND --- Walter E. Metzger, 66, of Rt. 1, Waveland, a retired farmer an employe of Mid-States Steel & Wire Co., died Monday evening in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was born at Wenona, Ill., on Aug. 29, 1910, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Metzger. He was married to Dorothy Mezger in 1932. Surviving are his wife; two sons, William of Fort Wayne and Walter Jr. of St. Louis; a daughter, Gloria, at home; a brother, Maynard of Chicago; three sisters, Lillian Turner of Frankfort, Ill., Alice Dunning of Wooddale, Ill., and Mildred of Chicago; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. James Boudouris officiating. Burial will be in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
