Alan Craig Metsker was born Dec. 7, 1946 at Lafayette, son of William C. and Ruth Thomas Metsker. His mother died July 13, 1962. He was a member of Trinity Methodist Church. Active in Scouting, he was a member and president of Explorer Scout Post of First Baptist Church and was president of District Council of Explorer Scouts. He attended Crawfordsville High School and would have been a senior next year. He was a member of French and Spanish Clubs at OHS and was treasurer of ABC Club. An athlete, he earned a varsity letter in wrestling last winter. Surviving are the father; a brother, Laine C., at home; paternal grandfather, Carl W. Metsker of Lafayette; and maternal grandparents, Mr. and. Mrs. Anson Thomas of Crawfordsville. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bright Funeral Home by Rev. C. H. Loveland of the Trinity Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Funeral services for Alan Craig Metsker, 16, who was killed Sunday afternoon in a single-car crash on Ind. 55 northwest of the city, are set for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bright Funeral Home. Rev. C. H. Loveland of Trinity Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
