Merrell - Nancy Bunnell

Mrs. R.T. Merrell, 79, died at 5 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at Culver Hospital of pneumonia which followed a severe fracture of the right leg which she suffered July 5. Mrs. Merrell had been reported in an improved condition until the last few days when she began to lose ground steadily after the attack of pneumonia. Nancy A. Merrell was born March 22, 1855, near Waynetown, the daughter of Alfred and Catherine Edwards Bunnell. She married July 13, 1873 Basel T. Merrell who died in 1920. Mrs. Merrell had been a resident of Crawfordsville the past 35 years. She was a member of the Waynetown Baptist Church, the Athens Chapter of Order of Eastern Star, the Dorothy Q Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution, both at Crawfordsville and of the Foreget-me-Not Club of this city. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. E.W. Boldt of Waynetown and Mrs. Rider Freeman of Crawfordsville; three sons, A.D. Merrell of Sellersville, PA; William S. Merrell of near Waynetown and Clarence F. Merrell of Indianapolis; a brother, Rev. Charles Bunnell of Jasonville; 22 grandchildren and 12 great grandchiildren. A sister, Mrs. Charles Munns preceded her in death. Funeral services will be at the residence, 709 West Main Street at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon with Rev. I.C. Overman, pastor of the Waynetown Baptist Church in charge assisted by the Rev. B.E. Antrobus, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Crawfordsville. Burial will be at Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. -- love Proctors & their fab Waynetown Masonic Cemetery site :)
