Waynetown - Lewis Merrell, who had been in the lumber business died Monday in Bedford where he had resided many years. Merrell was born in Waynetown, son of William and Maude Lewis Merrell. He was a graduate of Waynetown HS and a veteran of WWI. Survivors include the widow, Agnes Merrell; two sons, Clifford Merrell of Indianapolis and John W. Merrell of Bedford; a daughter, Elizabeth; his father, William Merrell of Waynetown; 3 brothers, Marx Merrell of Howe; Morris Merrell of Evansville and Dr. Paul Merrell of Indianapolis; two sisters, Blanch Boling of River Forrest, Ill; and Mrs. Rhoda Hartcell of Beech Grove and an aunt, Mrs. Ruth Freeman of Crawfordsville. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Bedford with burial in Waynetown Cemetery.   -- kbz -- thanks to Proctors :)
