Nora Belle Melvin, 78 of 904 Covington St, a native of New Richmond died Saturday afternoon in Golden Manor Nursing Home at Ladoga. Mrs. Melvin was a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church. Born Aug 6, 1897, she was a daughter of George and Lucinda ( Stonebraker ) Kerns Shaffer. She married Edmond Melvin in 1913. He is deceased. Surviving are three sons, Kenneth, Charles and Max of Crawfordsville; a brother, Charles Shaffer of Crawfordsville; grandchildren and great grandchildren. Three sons, Fred, Marion and Ernie are deceased. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Hunt & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Lester McGruder officiating. Burial in Oak Hill Cemetery.
