Mrs. Mary E. Meharry, widow of the late Isaac Meharry of Shawnee Mound died Friday at her home. She had been ill for the past few years but had been somewhat better of late. Mrs. Meharry was born in Brown County, Ohio in 1845. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Moore of that place. She was left an orphan at the age of nine years. She was brought to this community to make her home with Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Meharry. She was married to Isaac Meharry in 1868 who died in 1908. To them were born 10 children, four of whom survive. Anna M. and Vinton making their home with their mother; J. Ade Meharry lives north of Shawnee Mound and Mrs. Luther Meredity of Crawfordsville. Mrs. Meharry was a member of the Shawnee Mound Methodist Church and also a member of the Foreign Missionary Society. The funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. - kbz
