WAYNETOWN — Mrs. Ethel Meharry, 80, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Frank Bunnell, of near here. Mrs. Meharry was seriously injured in an auto accident Feb. 16, 1956 and had been bedfast since that time. She spent many months in Culver Hospital. She was born Feb. 9, 1879, at Michigantown, a daughter of John and Smanatha Carter Hillis. She married Judd M. Meharry Jan. 25, 1905 at Frankfort. Mrs. Meharry was a member of New Richmond Methodist Church and Loyal Workers Class of the church. She had lived in Coal Creek Township most of her life. She was a graduate of Frankfort High School and attended a music school in Chicago. Survivors include her daughter; two sons, Wally and Lee, both of near New Richmond; five sisters, Mrs. Leota Hughes of Russiaville, Mrs. Amos Young of Sharpsville, Mrs. Robert Cox of Scottsville, Ky., Mrs. Grover Harmon of Anderson and Mrs. Ray Kern of Frankfort; a brother, Clyde Hillis of Tipton; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1924, a daughter, Josephine, in 1914; and a broth Bayard Hills of Tampa, Fla. Funeral services will be conducted at 10;30 a.m. Tuesday at Servies Funeral Home here with Rev. Donald Wade of Covington and Rev. Delbert Smith of Wingate officiating. Burial will be in Meharry Cemetery north of Wingate. Friends may call at the funeral home.

WAYNETOWN — Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Hillis Meharry were conducted Wednesday morning in the Servies Funeral Home. Rev. Donald Wade and Rev. Delbert Smith, pastors of Methodist churches at Covington and Wingate, respectively, officiated. Norman Whitaker was organist and included a requested selection , "Closer Drawn too Thee." Serving as pallbearers were Leroy Bunnell, James Meharry, Judd Meharry, Max McCullough, Steven Dehne, Clare Meharry and Hugh Meharry. They also assisted with the flowers. Burial was in Meharry Cemetery, north of Wingate
