Newtown—(CNS)—Miss Anna V. Meharry, 84, of Wingate, died at 1:15 p. m. Tuesday (Apr, 3, 1951) at the home of a nephew, Clare Meharry of Wingate. She had been ill since Mar. 15 of a heart ailment and suffered a stroke a week ago. Miss Meharry was born Dec. 17, 1866, in the Shawnee-Mound community north of Newtown, daughter of Greenley and Letitia Meharry. She was educated in Jackson Township schools and at DePauw University. She was a member of the Wingate Methodist Church and had been active in social and civic affairs. Surviving is a brother, Ira, of New Richmond, Ind. The body is at the Grenard & Servies Funeral Home at Waynetown where it will remain until time for services at 2 p. m. Thursday at the Wingate Methodist Church. The Rev. H. L. McBride will officiate. Burial will be in the Meharry Cemetery east of Newtown. --typed by Walt W
