Mrs. Margaret Meehan, 76 years old died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wasson, 801 E Jefferson Street Sunday evening at 6. A complication of diseases with which Mrs. Meehan had been suffering for more than a year caused her death. She was a native of County Cork, Ireland but had been a resident of the United States since 1852 and had lived in Crawfordsville nearly all of the time since that date. She had a great many friends, especially among the older residents of the city and was a respected woman. Her friends delighted in hearing her recount the adventures of her interesting life and in this she was aided by a remarkable memory that remained with her until her last. Mrs. Meehan is survived by one daughter, Miss Nora Meehan of this city. Funeral services will be held from St. Bernard’s Church Tuesday morning at 9 in charge of Rev. T.M. Conroy. Burial will be in Calvary cemetery. --– thanks to Joan Oppy and Dellie Craig
