Horace W. "Bill" Meadows, 83, Veedersburg, died 3:30 a.m. Thursday in The Waters of Covington. Mr. Meadows was a retired farmer and laborer at Lee Company, Terre Haute. His memberships included New Century Christian Church. He was a 1937 Wallace HS graduate. He was born Aug 1, 1919 at Waynetown to Basil & Blanche Hatt Meadows. He married Olive E. Perrigo July 6, 1940 at Bardstown, Ky. She survives. Also surviving are a foster son, Fred Steele, Crawfordsville; two daughters, Sheila Garrett, Battle Ground and Charlotte Lowe, Williamsport, a brother, Palmer Meadows, Linden, three sisters, Lois Lewellen, Frankfort, Jewell F. Lucky, Woodstock, Ill and Ruth Hutchin or North Carolina; six grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Three brothers, four sisters and a grandson are deceased. Funeral services are schedule 2 p.m. Saturday in Shoemaker Funeral Home, 202 S. Indiana 25, Waynetown with Rev. Joe Dodds officiating. Burial in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery. - kbz
