MACE – Funeral services for Lloyd B. McVey, 72, a retired rural mail carrier who moved to Richmond from here in 1968, were held at Richmond today. Burial was in Earlham Cemetery with graveside services conducted by New Ross American Legion Post. Mr. McVey died at Indianapolis Friday. The World War II veteran was a charter member and former post commander of the New Ross Legion Post. He was also a member of OES Chapter 121 of Centerville, Hiram Masonic Lodge 417 of Centerville and Knights of Pythias at Newcastle. He was born at New Ross on Sept. 27, 1902, a son of Charles and Minnie Beck McVey. His wife, June, died in 1973. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Edward C. Wells of Richmond, Mrs. Morris Howell of Rochester and Mrs. Marion Quinton of Indianapolis, 12 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. – jlr
