Miss Nettie McSpadden, one of Alamo’s most popular young ladies, died very suddenly Monday morning at the age of 25 years. She arose, prepared breakfast and was apparently in the best of health and spirits but at 7 o’clock she lay a corpse. Her death is attributed to dropsy. Funeral at 2 o’clock Tuesday by Rev. JC Barnhill. - k
