James Moody McNulty, 82, a veteran of the first World War died Saturday morning at his residence at 801 E. College Street. He had been ill for 15 years and bedfast one year. Mr. McNulty was a retired farmer and former Crawfordsville Foundry employee. Born Sept 9, 1887, in Montgomery County, Mr. McNulty was the son of James H. and Lucinda Baker McNulty. He was married Jan 29, 1921 to Bertha Mae Burkett at Crawfordsville. Mr. McNulty was a member of the Ladoga Christian Church. He also belonged to Barracks 1567, WWI Veterans and Byron Cox Post, the American Legion. Surviving are the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Sue Chrisman of Crawfordsville and Mrs. Donald Swank of Champaign, Ill; a sister, Mrs. Garland Scaggs of Jamestown; 8 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Powers Funeral Home with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial will be in Masonic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Monday.
