Attica, Ind Sept 27 – Mark McNett, age 40 years and second son of the late Jasper McNett, committed suicide Saturday by hanging himself in the attic at the old home place, two miles west of Attica, on the Kramer Road. McNett had climbed a ladder and tied a rope to one of the rafters. He was last seen at 7:30 o’clock when he was still in bed. Mark had been in poor health for several years and had become despondent. He had been a resident of Danville until the death of his father when he had come home and resided there prior to his death. He was very industrious a good worker and had a large number of friends in the community. The coroner of Warren County, Eldo Michaels of Williamsport was called on the case. - kbz
