McMullen - Josephus Emmons

Joseph E. McMullen, aged 68, well known farmer of the Whitesville community, died shortly after 8 o'clock Tuesday night as the result of a heart attack. Death occurred at the family home, one mile and a half east of Whitesville. Mr. McMullen was born in Boone County Aug. 24, 1867, the son of Lemuel and Louise McMullen, and in 1892 was married to Lucinda E. Graybill, who died in 1912. In 1926 he married Mrs. Stella Miller, who survives him. Mr. McMullen was a member of the Whitesville Christian church and of the Odd Fellows lodge at New Ross. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Linn; two sons, Everett and Willie McMullen; one sister, Mrs. Sarah Mangus, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held from the Whitesville Christian church at 1:30 o'clock Thursday afternoon. The body will lie in state for one hour preceding the services. Burial will be made in Old Union cemetery, northeast of Jamestown.Thanks to Barbara B for typing this obit :)
