McMullen - Everett "Zeke"

Marshall - Everett (Zeke) McMullen, 67, a retired farmer and prominent Parke County resident, died at his home near here at 4:30 p.m. yesterday (March 8, 1967) He was a life resident of this community and recently had returned from a vacation in Florida. Born Sept. 5, 1899, he was the son of Jessie and Alice Fulwider McMullen. In 1919 he married Opal Humbert and she died in 1957. He later married Mrs. Gladys Core and she survives. He was a member of Marshall Baptist Church, a past master of Masonic Lodge 648, Scottish Rite Bodies of Indianapolis, Zorah Shrine at Terre Haute, Parke County Low 12 Club, Modern Woodmen, a past president of the Lions Club, member of Parke County Saddle Club, a director of the Indiana Walking Horse Association, and a director of Rural Electrification 18 years Also surviving are a step-son, Keith Spencer of Judson; a sister, Mrs. Vernon (Mary) Delp of Marshall Route 1; a niece; a nephew, and four step grandchildren. The body is at the Tudor Funeral Home in Rockville and friends may call after 2 p.m. Friday. Services will be there at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. James O. Trusdale and the Rev. Chelas Sheese officiating. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. - jlr
