The case of Charles McMehan, charged with a murderous assault upon his father at Darlington some four months ago was brought before the court last Saturday morning and entered a plea of guilty. He acknowledged the wrong but he was now heartily repentant, and throwing himself upon the mercy of the court, promised in the future to be a better man. After a few words of wholesome advice to the prisoner, Judge Willson pronounced upon him a sentence of confinement in the county jail for ten days and to pay a fine of one dollar. - thanks to s for typing this one :(
