Tangier -- Eugene McMasters, 47, died at 6 a.m. Tuesday at his home on Rt. 1 where he had lived 23 years. Mr. McMasters was a school bus driver for Liberty Twp and Turkey Run Consolidated schools for 15 years. A native of Fountain County, he was born June 29, 1919 a son of Guy and Sylvia Newnum Mcmasters. He was married to Betty Cox 3-3-1942. Surviving are the widow; a son, Robert D. Yater of Tangier, his mother, who lives in Kingman, a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Eileen) Crowder of Rt 1, Bloomingdale a brother, Earl Verner McMasters of Rt 1, Hillsboro; 3 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home, in Marshall with Rev John Meyer and Rev.Ruth Isaacs officiating. Burial will be in Tangier cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon today.= kbz

MARSHALL – Funeral services were held at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home for Eugene McMaster who died at his home near Tangier. Pallbearers, who also assisted with flowers, were Connie Newnum Earl Newnum, Paul Edward Newnum, Paul Eston Newnum, Robert Newnum and Harold Russell. Honorary pallbearers were Wilton Boyle and Marion Woods. Services were in charge of Rev. Ruth Isaacs and Rev. John Myer. Burial was in Tangier Cemetery. - kbz
