HILLSBORO - Earl Verner McMasters, Fountain County native, died at 12:45 a.m. Saturday at the Veterans Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. McMasters, 45, had been employed for 15 years by the Janeway Feed Co. at Kingman until ill health forced his retirement in June of 1968. He had been hospitalized for only two days. The family lived on Rt. l, Hillsboro. Born on Feb. 16, 1924, in Kingman, he was the son of Rufus and Sylvia Lorene Newnum McMasters. The mother survives and resides in Kingman. He was married to Wanda Day who also survives. In addition, he is survived by two sons, Dennis Earl and Terry Lynn, both at home; a daughter, Mrs. Larry (Linda) Harrison of Rt. Kingman; a sister, Mrs. Glenn (Eileen) Crowder of Rt. l, Bloomingdale; a sister-in-law, Betty McMasters of Tangier; nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, a sister and a brother. Services are set for 2 p.m. Monday in the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home at Marshall with Revs. Alfred Dobbs and Joseph Hayes officiating.
