Col. McMamanomy, Covington, one of the best known men in the state died on Tuesday at his home in that city. He was a hero of the Mexican War. He was 86 years old and was one of the contractors in the building of the old Wabash & Erie Canal. He was a familiar character in the early history and the development of this part of Indiana.
