McMaken--On the 13th of July, 1873, of apoplexy, Mrs. Julia A. McMaken, relict of R. W. McMaken.

She was born November 23, 1811, in Butler County, Ohio, and consequently was in her 62d year. In the spring of 1827 she was united in marriage to R. W. McMaken and in the fall of 1830 moved to this county where she ever since has resided. As a wife and mother, she was kind, affectionate and faithful, always striving to make her home a bright, cheerful and happy place. She had many friends and few, if any, enemies. She will be much missed in the circle in which she moved and very greatly by the members of her bereaved family. With a patience that was almost marvelous she bore her trials and sufferings seemingly as seeing "Him who is invisible." Mother is gone--we miss her, miss her, sadly miss her.
