McMahan - Larence William

KINGMAN - Larence William McMahan, 71, longtime resident here, died at 2:30 a.m. Friday at Culver Hospital in Crawfordsville shortly after he was taken to the hospital after becoming ill at his home. He had been in poor health the past 10 years. Mr. McMahan was a retired farmer and had lived in Kingman the past 23 years. He was born Oct. 15, 1898, near Westville, Ill., the son of William and Sarah Reynolds McMahan. He was married Dec. 5, 1923, to Hazel Tinder. The widow survives. Also surviving are a son-in- law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Moore of Rt. 3, Crawfordsville; two granddaughters, Becky and Brenda Moore, also of Rt. 3, and a niece and nephew. Mr. McMahan was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home in Marshall. Shirley Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Wallace Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Sunday. - jlr
