Crawfordsville, Ind July 18 – Mrs. Etelka Cox McLeod, wife of Oliver C. McLeod, widely known farmer living northwest of Crawfordsville died Thursday at Culver Memorial hospital here. She was a sister of Byron C. Cox, Darlington, first soldier from Montgomery County to be killed in the world war and after whom Byron C. Cox Post of the American Legion was named. Mrs. McLeod was born at Rossville. She was graduated from Darlington HS and attended Indiana State Teachers College at Terre Haute. She taught school in Montgomery County several years before her marriage in 1925. Her husband, two children, the mother, three sisters and four brothers survive. - kbz
