VEEDERSBURG — Donna Caroline McLean, 62, 821 Knob Hill Drive, Veedersburg, died at 3:50 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, 2000 in St. Vincent Hospital Indianapolis. She was born March 20, 1938 in Veedersburg, the daughter of Earl and Josephine Shoaf Mitchell. She married Robert E. McLean July 8, 1956 at the former E.U.B. church in Veedersburg. He survives. She was a 1956 graduate of Veedersburg High School. She was a member of the Veedersburg First Christian Church Disciples of Christ and their Wednesday night Bible study and Tuesday morning prayer groups, and the Ten-Ten Bunco Club. Survivors, besides the husband, include: three daughters, Angela (Robert) Grubb, Newtown, Crystal (David) Brewer, Waynetown and Shannon (Dale) Stanley, Valparaiso; a sister, Delilah Gunn, Veedersburg; a brother, Gary Mitchell, Veedersburg; six granddaughters; two great-granddaughters (twins); a great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. Graveside services were at 10:30 a.m. Monday in Osborn Prairie Cemetery, Veedersburg, with Rusty Anderson officiating. Parham-Shelby Funeral Home, Veedersburg, was in charge of arrangements. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be sent to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or the Veedersburg First Christian Church, 301 North Mill St., Veedersburg, Ind. 47987, in her memory. – jlr
