New Market - Mrs. Nellie McLaughlin, 77, a resident of the New Market community for 22 years, died at 3:50 a.m. Friday in Culver Hospital. She had been seriously ill for the past week and had been in failing health for a year. She was born March 28, 1885, in Warren County and her parents were John and Virginia Goodwin Crawford. On April 6, 1910, she married Clayton McLaughlin. He preceded her in death in 1961. Survivors include two sons, Lloyd and Kenneth of New Market; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Sloan of Stockwell, and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday in the Noble Reeves Funeral Home in New Market with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery and friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. Saturday.
