THORNTOWN - Claud P. McLaughlin, 82, of Rt. 2, Thorntown, died at 8:25 p.m. Monday in Witham Hospital at Lebanon where he had been a patient since noon. He had been a farmer all his life. Mr. McLaughlin had served as a delegate to the state Democratic convention for many years. He was a member of the Redman's Lodge, National Rifle Association, Advance American Legion and Lebanon World War I barracks. He had served in the 325th Field Artillery during World War I. Surviving are two children, Eileen D. McLaughlin of Indianapolis and Judge Marvin D. McLaughlin of North Judson; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Barbara McLaughlin of North Judson; three grandchildren, Mrs. David (Lynette) Altman of Winamac, and Alan L. and Brian Lee McLaughlin of North Judson; and three brothers, Walter C. of Leuistown, Mont., Harry of Indianapolis and Harold of Thorntown. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Russell & Hitch Funeral Home at Lebanon with the Rev. James C. Stansell officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday. - jlr
