Kingman- Harry McKINSIE, 77-year-old retired educator, died Saturday in St. Vincent’s Hospital at Indianapolis. Mr. McKinsie had lived in Greencastle in recent weeks. Prior to that he and his wife lived on a farm near here for 12 years. Born Nov. 2, 1885, in Fountain County, he was a son of Charles and Mary Patterson McKinsie. He was married June 16, 1906 to Fairy Myers. Mr. McKinsie taught school for more than 40 years. For 28 years he was principal and superintendent of a Chicago school. He retired in 1951 and moved to this community. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Chapter 314 and last year received his 50-year pin. Survivors include his wife; a brother, Thomas McKinsie of near Kingman; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are tentatively set for 2 p.m. (EST) Tuesday at the Woodrow Funeral Home here. Itnerment will be in Centennial Cemetery east of Yeddo. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home from 2 until 4 and from 7 until 9 p.m. Monday.
