McKinsey - Rachel Sparks

Mrs. Joshua McKINSEY died at her home on West Pike Street Monday evening from the result of a stroke of paralysis. The deceased was 57 years of age. Her maiden name was Rachel SPARKS and the place of her nativity was Scott's Prairie Fountain County. At the age of 17 she removed with her parents to this county and shortly after married Joshua McKinsey. They have one child still living, Emma now the wife of Dr. E. D. Barnes. Mrs. McKinsey was a kind hearted good mother and neighbor and her loss is deplored by a circle of friends. The funeral took place at 10 o'clock today at the family residence with interment at Alamo Cemetery. -- kbz

Mrs. Joshua McKinsey died on Monday of paralysis, aged 57 years. She leaves a sorrowing husband and one child, Mrs. Dr. Barnes. Mrs. McKinsey was a true Christian woman. Her funeral was from the home residence on Wednesday morning. The remains were taken to Alamo for interment.
