THORNTOWN - M. Chase McKinsey, 76, former resident of this community who had lived in Indianapolis since 1931, died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday at the Witham Hospital in Lebanon. He had been ill nine months and a hospital patient for four weeks. Mr. McKinsey, who for the past several years had been a real estate dealer in Indianapolis, lived at, 4076 N. College Ave. Prior to 1931 he made his home near here while engaged in bridge building and road construction work. The deceased was born in Boone County Feb. 7, 1886, the son of Cuthbert B. McKinsey and Ida Jane Thompson McKinsey. He was married Nov. 19, 1931 in Thorntown to Mary Neptune, who died Dec. 17, 1961. He was a member of the Thorntown Presbyterian Church. One sister, Miss Ruth McKinsey of Fort Pierce, Fla., survives. Two brothers and three sisters preceded Mr. McKinsey in death. Funeral services will be conducted at the Russell and Hitch Mortuary in Thorntown at 1:30 p.m. Friday in charge of Rev. Paul Mueller. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery at Indianapolis.
