LAFAYETTE - Eula McKinney, 83, died Sunday in Turtle Creek Nursing Home here. She was in failing health for a year. Mrs. McKinney was educated in Metcalf County, Ky., schools. A former Linden resident, she moved to Lafayette in 1950. She was born Sept. 19, 1891, in Metcalf County, the daughter of Crit and Carrie Franklin Garmon. She married Finis McKinney Oct. 4, 1915, at Memphis, Tenn. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ed (Myrtle) Brashears of Rainsville, Mrs. Leo (Mildred) Welsh of Covington, Mrs. Betty Edwards of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Otis (Elanora) Hooper of Lafayette and Mrs. Henry (Margaret) Barker of South Bend; two sons, Paul and Robert R. of Lafayette; three sisters, Mrs. Velma Firkins of Romney, Mrs. Edgar Hurt and Mrs. Ruford Shaw, and a brother, Herbert Garmon, all of Edmonton, Ky.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Her husband is deceased. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Helms Funeral Home at Linden with the Rev. Robert Mundy officiating. Burial will be in Linden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday - jlr
