Phoenix, Nov 9 – The aged mother of Winnie Ruth Judd, notorious trunk murderess, died yesterday in the Arizona state hospital Mrs. Carrie McKinnell died after a long illness.  She was 87.  Private funeral services were held today.  A son, Burton J. McKinnell took the body to Englewood, Calif for burial alongside her late husband, Rev. Harvey J. McKinnell.  Grieving and lonely after his death in 1942, Mrs. McKinnell always had been close to Winnie Ruth and hospital authorities reported both were happy together, although they did not live in the same room.  Mrs. Judd has been confined to the hospital since she was declared insane.  Two years earlier, she was found guilty of murdering two women friends whose dismembered bodies were shipped to Los Angeles in a trunk. = kbz
