McKey - Sarah Sering

Sarah A. Sering,
daughter of George and Nancy J. Sering, was born near Liberty, Union county,
Indiana, June 13, 1839. Moved with her parents to Montgomery county, in
1853. Married to J.C. McKey, February 21st, 1857. Moved to
Boone county in 1864, and to the city of Lebanon in 1870, and died after a
lingering illness, July 28, 1890. She was the mother of ten children,
eight of whom were present at the funeral. She joined the Methodist
church in 1874, and was a consistent member until her death. Funeral
services were conducted from the family residence at 4 p.m. July 29, by Rev.
W.P. Mcklasey and Pavy. The Pythian sisters had
charge of the burial which was in the Rodefer cemetery. - thanks to
