McKenna - Gladys Mitchell

Friends here have received word of the death of Mrs. Gladys Irene McKenna, 64, who died last Friday at Indianapolis after an extended illness. She was born in Ladoga, the daughter of John and Florence Dicks Mitchell. Mrs. McKenna attended Shortridge High School and Metropolitan School of Music at Indianapolis. She was a member of the Washington Street Methodist Church at Indianapolis. Survivors include her father, John Mitchell of Danville; three sons, Richard E. of Danville, John of Indianapolis and Arthur of Speedway; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Weaver Funeral Home in Danville with Rev. Robert B. Clayton in charge. Interment was in South Cemetery at Danville. – jlr
