MARSHALL – Dr. F. V. McIntyre, 80, a veterinarian who served the Marshall community for over 60 years, died at 3 a.m. Wednesday at his home here. His death was attributed to a heart attack. A son, Dr. Francis E. McIntyre, is a practicing physician in Austin, Tex. Born on Sept. 21, 1888, he was the son of William M. and Rachel Ephlin McIntyre. Dr. McIntyre was a lifelong resident of Marshall. He was first educated in Marshall schools and received his professional degree from the Indiana Veterinary College at Indianapolis. Surviving besides the son, are the widow, Mrs. Mary Elliott McIntyre; two daughters, Marian McIntyre of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Phyllis Doan of Brazil; a sister, Mrs. Lewis Stark of Marshall; a nephew, John William McIntyre of Bloomingdale; a niece, Dorothy Hobbs of Sarasota, Fla., and six grandchildren. Services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday at the Davies-Tudor Funeral Home at Marshall. Burial will be in Bethany Cemetery. Friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday. = kbz
