WAVELAND — Mabel Ann McIntire, 79, lifelong resident of Waveland, died at 12:35 a.m. Friday at her home here. She had been seriously ill for the past year. Born in Waveland on March 13, 1886, she was the daughter of John and Emma Patton Moore. She was married to Claude D. McIntire in 1911 in Waveland. Mrs. McIntire was a member of the Waveland Methodist Church and a member of the Modern Martha Class of the church. She spent most of her life in Waveland where she helped her husband in the operation of their restaurant until his death. Following his death, she continued to operate the restaurant for a year before retiring. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. George Harmon of Waveland; a son, Paul McIntire of Indianapolis: two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Robert Moore of Waveland and Logan Moore of Crawfordsville, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home in Waveland. Rev. Walter Porter, pastor of the Waveland Methodist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Waveland Old Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home between 7 and 9 p.m. Saturday and all day Sunday.
