William H. McNEELEY, 84 years old, a veteran of the Civil War and resident of Montgomery County for more than half a century died at his home, 305 E. College Street Friday evening after an illness of two months. He was one of the best known men in the county. During his long residence in this city he was engaged in the carpetner trade and was the builder of many structures that stand in the city now. He was known for his strict honesty in his business dealings and had a large number of friends throughout the county. Mr. McNeeley was born in the south part of the state in April 1830, and would hav ebeen 85 years old in a few weeks. He came to this county before the civil war broke out and served two enlistements in theconflict. In early life he married Phoebe Thompson. The widow and following children survive: Frank and Albert Mc Neeley and Mrs. Lulu Morrow of this city; Charles McNeeley of Indianapolis; Mrs. Margaret Langle of Sioux City, Iowa and Mrs. Helen Robinson of Bridgeport, Indiana. Funeral services will be held from the late home at 2 Sunday afternoon with burial in Masonic Cemetery. - typed by kbz
